Post your favorite quotes (inspirational, movie, etc) here:
Here's a few of mine
-when you know your clock is ticking, and your time on this world is short, you realise that all you can do is be happy. we have the special gift that many others dont, we know our time here is limited. therefore, try to be happy and try to make a good impact on other people's lives.
-it's like closing a book and putting it high on a shelf somewhere. you say to yourself, "i'm never reading that book again." You know you should burn it. You know the book tricks you into believing things that aren't true. And yet, you won't get rid of it, not totally, because somewhere deep down inside, a little piece of you wants to be able to get that book out again, curl up with it in a corner, and accept it's comfort, even if it's only temporary.
-sometimes you feel like you wanna leave it all behind...but then you see her smile, you hear her voice, and thats what keeps you going....thats what makes you survive another day
-There are times when all feels lost. as if the world is bearing down on you, crushing you. in the pain and darkness, you begin to see a light. it is her. it is the voice of the one whom you love. you smile and laugh as good as you can, forgetting completely about your pain. you smile because you know that now...you can finally rest in peace.
-How is one to live a moral and compassionate existence when one is fully aware of the blood, the horror inherent in life, when one finds darkness not only in one's culture but within oneself? If there is a stage at which an individual life becomes truly adult, it must be when one grasps the irony in its unfolding and accepts responsibility for a life lived in the midst of such paradox. One must live in the middle of contradiction, because if all contradiction were eliminated at once life would collapse. There are simply no answers to some of the great pressing questions. You continue to live them out, making your life a worthy expression of leaning into the light.
-Read no history: nothing but biography, for that is life without theory.
-Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again.
-The Grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.
-You call it madness, but I call it love.
-Whoso loves, believes the impossible.
-If I know what love is, it is because of you.
-I think we dream so we don't have to be apart so long. If we're in each others dreams, we can be together all the time.
-Do good by stealth, and blush to find it fame.
-The irony of man's condition is that the deepest need is to be free of the anxiety of death and annihilation; but it is life itself which awakens it, and so we must shrink from being fully alive.
-Faith certainly tells us what the senses do not, but not the contrary of what they see; it is above, not against them.
-Without faith, nothing is possible. With it, nothing is impossible.
-There are two ways to slide easily through life: to believe everything or to doubt everything; both ways save us from thinking.
-If you think about the best possible outcomes instead of the worst, then they have a better chance of coming true.
